Naturally clever: craft meets design 

For living and dining rooms, individualists and those with an eye for details: the EMILIO furniture series combines an uncomplicated, natural look with maximum quality of workmanship. In this way charismatic furniture is created for rooms with character. Round corners, well-thought-out front partitions and shadow joints with a particularly noble look define the high standards of this new furniture series from Venjakob.

CEO Antonius Rehkemper goes into detail: “Our world seems to be coming apart at the seams, so people are longing for genuine values, orientation and warmth. At Venjakob we live out the traditional factory idea and have committed ourselves to detail-obsessed, hand-crafted manufacturing. That can now be seen quite definitely in EMILIO: the rounded corners follow a particularly sophisticated design concept. Soft shapes, finest lacquer and absolute perfection – nothing remains to be desired.”

Round corner joint – double-body look

What at first appears to be uncomplicated – catchphrase ‘round corner’ – is in practice a particular challenge for any furniture producer. At Venjakob a well-versed team of craftsmen work on solutions to open up entirely new possibilities in product development. EMILIO: the round corners are a visual highlight and the distinctive materials enter into a delightful interplay. The corner joint looks like a double-body. And all of that fits together with poise to form a harmonious overall image: refined furniture that shows the select solid wood in the best light and in doing so puts the spotlight quite unaffectedly on the beauty of natural materials and traditional craftsmanship.

The Venjakob company was established in 1935 in Gütersloh-Avenwedde and stands today for design-orientated furniture that meets the highest requirements. Maximum quality is a decisive factor in this – for this reason, too, the company is a member of the ‘Deutsche Gütegemeinschaft Möbel’ (German Furniture Quality Assurance Association). On a floor area of 33,000 sq. metres, almost 200 employees manufacture wall units, coffee tables, stools, armchairs, dining room furniture and dining tables. In September 2012 a modern showroom was opened, which presents Venjakob GmbH’s versatile range of furniture on a floor area of 2000 sq. metres. Venjakob furniture has for many years been free of harmful substances, environmentally friendly, durable and tested for sustainability, in addition to which it has been awarded the RAL quality mark. In 2013 the company won the Red Dot Award for the first time for the ‘LOVA’ cantilever chair.
